We are talking about the empowerment of Patchouli.

 

Patchouli’s benefits:

  • Grounding, balancing effect on emotions

    Patchouli’s uses:

• Combine with Peppermint and apply to the forehead, temples, or back of the neck after a long day of work.

• Apply one to two drops to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, or problem skin areas, or add to your favorite moisturizer.

• Combine with Vetiver and apply to the bottoms of feet to help calm emotions.

• Add three to four drops in a diffuser to help provide grounding and balance emotions.

Janet’s favorite use: I’ve started using it with Vetiver on the bottom of my feet before I go to bed at night.

Libations of the day:

 

GG’s Patchouli Shake

Ingredients

Vanilla Ice Cream

Milk or Half & Half 

1 drop of dōTERRA Patchouli

 

Mix together until your desired consistency.  Yummy!

 

Lavender Whip Cream

Heavy whipping cream

1 drop of dōTERRA Lavender

2 TBS Sugar

 

Whip together by hand or by mixer until fluffy! 

Top with fresh sprig of lavender, if available!

 

 

 

 

Janet’s Patchouli Daiquiri

Ingredients

2 oz Rum

1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Heavy ½ oz Patchouli Syrup*

Add all ingredients, with ice, to a Cocktail Shaker. Shake to chill and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

 

Patchouli Syrup

Ingredients

1/2 cup Granulated Sugar

1/2 cup Water

2 drops dōTERRA Patchouli Essential Oil

In a small sauce pot, bring the water and sugar to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove from the heat, add the Patchouli oil, stir, and allow to steep until the syrup comes to room temperature. Strain into a clean stoppered bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to 8 weeks. Yields about 1/2 cup.
