Today’s pod is all about the oil of Releasing and Forgiving.

We are talking about the empowerment of Thyme.

Gina’s favorite use: Linen Spray with Lavender. Thyme wards of nightmares and lavender is calming and relaxing.

Janet’s favorite use: Plants in her garden attract fairies….and she cooks with it.

Quick fact of the Day

Thought to impart courage to its bearer, Thyme was given to knights and warriors before they went into battle by ladies of the Middle Ages. During this same period, Thyme was often placed beneath pillows to help promote a peaceful sleep and to ward off nightmares.

Libations of the day

GG Thyme

Ingredients:

Gin

1 drop dōTERRA Thyme Essential Oil

1/2 ounces lime juice (freshly squeezed)

Lemongrass DRY Soda

**OR**

Ginger Ale with

1 drop dōTERRA Lemongrass Essential Oil

Directions:

Stir everything together, garnish with slice of lime and enjoy!

(This would be DELICIOUS with a Ginger Sugar Rim!)

GG Thyme

Janet’s Cocktail Thyme!

Ingredients

Honey

Water

1 toothpick to 1 drop dōTERRA Thyme Essential Oil

Fresh lemon juice

Vodka

Ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place equal parts honey and water in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the honey. Keep at a low simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and add Thyme essential oil.

  2. Pour mixture through a fine sieve. Discard the thyme. Chill mixture until ready to serve.

  3. Combine vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup. Stir well. Pour into glass filled with ice and garnish with thyme sprigs.

A Ritual fo Challenging Conversations

Place one drop of dōTERRA Thyme Essential Oil on your heart center and then activate in your hands by rubbing together and then inhale a few times before your important conversation. The cool thing about this is that when you enter into this conversation in person, they will also be the benefit of Thyme because they will be able to smell it.

Forgive yourself and the other person BEFORE you go into a conversation with them. (See Podcast 20 (Oil of Sexual Harmony / Cinnamon where we talked about Forgiveness)

  1. Tell the person your expression of emotion (ie. anxiety, fear, etc.)

  2. Tell the person the “story” you have made up in your mind (ie. They’ll leave me, disown me, judge me)

  3. Tell the person your ideal situation of resolve (ie. Desire to have civil, honest communication, simply to just be heard, etc.)
