Today’s pod is all about the oil of Sacred Devotion

We are talking about the empowerment of dōTERRA Sandalwood essential oil.

.

Sandalwood's benefits:

  • Promotes healthy looking, smooth skin

  • Reduces the appearance of scars and skin imperfections

  • Enhances mood

  • Frequently used in meditation for its grounding and uplifting properties

  • Invites individuals to place all material attachments on the altar of sacrifice so they may truly progress spiritually.***

  • Assists in quieting the mind so that individuals may hear the subtle voice of the Spirit.***

Sandalwood's uses:

Uses (Indian)

  • Apply 2–3 drops to the back of the neck or on the heart for feelings of calmness and peace.

  • For an at-home spa experience, fill a large bowl with steaming water, then apply one to two drops of Sandalwood to your face and cover head with a towel. Place your face above the steaming water. Your skin will feel nourished and rejuvenated.

  • Apply one to two drops to wet hair to help restore moisture and give hair a silky shine.

  • Inhale Sandalwood directly from palms or diffuse to lessen tension and balance emotions.

Uses (Hawaiian)

  • Diffuse or apply to the neck and shoulders at bedtime for a restful night’s sleep.

  • Add 1–2 drops to your favorite moisturizer or night cream for smooth, glowing skin.

  • Add 1–2 drops to a hot bath to promote relaxation and lessen tension.

  • Apply to your skin the day before a big photo shoot or presentation

  • Apply to shampoo to improve the look of your hair

CAUTIONS: Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas

Gina's favorite use: I don’t ever use it as a single oil, though sometimes I use it in blends for specific reasons for my clients or myself.

Janet's favorite use: I don’t really like the smell so I don’t really use it.

Oil Fact Of The Day:

While there are several species of Sandalwood, most of them have a very high vibration. Both Hawaiian an Indian Sandalwood oil expand the sixth chakra, or brow chakras. Hawaiian is slightly more supportive to additional upper chakra centers while Indian promotes slightly deeper and more ancient grounding in the lower chakras. They are both excellent oils for meditation and spiritual practices.
